Here's a look at who's behind the site:

Sue Fogarty

As senior director of content innovation and amplification, Susan Fogarty oversees a variety of editorial initiatives, including video, online event content and external partnerships, as well as TechTarget's technology encyclopedia site WhatIs.com. She is a TechTarget veteran, having worked for the company from 2000 to 2011 and rejoining in 2018. In the interim, she held editorial roles at Dell and at UBM/Informa, where she led content development for the InformationWeek and Interop brands.

Jamison Cush

Jamison Cush Senior Executive Editor [email protected]

Jamison Cush is a senior executive editor overseeing YouTube video production, definitions and feature content for WhatIs.com and TechTarget. He previously served as the executive editor of product content and product reviews. Before that, he bounced around TechTarget in various editorial roles, covered business tech for outside trade publications and spent some time at CNET. Once upon a time, he could be seen discussing the latest tech headlines on cable and broadcast TV, and on tradeshow and conference panels.

Sarah Amsler

Sarah Amsler is a managing editor for the Learning Content team. Previously, she was a site editor for the company's Customer Experience and Content Management websites. Prior to joining TechTarget in October 2018, she worked for several news groups in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, designing newspaper pages and covering community news. She is a New Hampshire native and University of New Hampshire alumna with a bachelor's degree in journalism.

Sabrina Polin

Sabrina Polin is a managing editor of video content for the Learning Content team. She plans and develops video content for TechTarget's editorial YouTube channel, Eye on Tech. Previously, Sabrina was a reporter for the Products Content team. Prior to joining TechTarget in 2019, Sabrina reported and photographed for a variety of dailies, weeklies and nonprofits in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Sabrina holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Roger Williams University. In her spare time, Sabrina enjoys live music, tending to her houseplants, horseback riding, and her cat.

Amanda Hetler

Amanda Hetler is an SEO content writer for WhatIs. She joined TechTarget after years of freelance writing on a variety of medical, technical, financial and legal topics. Before freelance writing, she worked at an insurance company writing and coordinating internal and external communications. She is an Ohio native and graduated from Ashland University with a bachelor's degree in marketing and psychology.

James Alan Miller

James Alan Miller Senior Executive Editor [email protected]

James is an award-winning business technology writer and editor with extensive experience creating and developing magazine and online content. He joined TechTarget's then-new product coverage team in 2014, where he served as executive editor. James spearheaded the group's development of best practices and strategies for working closely with staff in media groups and expert contributors to develop articles and reviews to aid enterprise IT buyers in their software-buying decisions. He then served as the executive editor of the IT Infrastructure and Strategy Media Group, where he oversaw data storage coverage. James is now a senior executive editor in the Content Innovation and Amplification group, where he leads the High-Performance Content team's remediation and optimization efforts.

Amy Novotny

Amy Novotny joined TechTarget in 2014 as a senior products editor in the Product Content Group. She worked with expert contributors to develop feature articles and buyer's guides to aid enterprise IT buyers in their software buying decisions. She later worked in the IT Infrastructure and Strategy Media Group, procuring and publishing online product content for several websites, including SearchStorage, SearchDataBackup, SearchDisasterRecovery, SearchVMware and IoTAgenda. Amy is now part of TechTarget's newly created High-Performance Content team. Prior to joining TechTarget, Amy was the editorial director for Enterprise Systems Media Inc., publisher of two IT-related digital publications. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, with a bachelor's degree in journalism.

Stacey Peterson

Stacey Peterson is part of TechTarget’s High-Performance Content team. She works with technical writers to expand and update high-performing definitions and other content. Stacey joined TechTarget's Storage media group in 2017 as managing editor of Storage magazine. She then spent several years as senior site editor of SearchStorage, creating and editing content for the website. She moved to the High-Performance Content team in 2021. She previously spent several decades in managing and executive editor positions at InformationWeek and then served as executive editor for content publishing at UBM Americas. Peterson has an interdisciplinary studies degree with an economics and journalism focus from Miami University in Ohio and a Master of Arts from Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, D.C.

Ben Lutkevich

Ben is a technical writer for WhatIs.com, as part of the High-Performance Content team. Ben graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with an English major, an IT minor and a certificate in journalism. At UMass, Ben was a DJ at the college radio station, 91.1 WMUA Amherst (aka the fun 91). And in his free time, he likes to play guitar. At TechTarget, Ben has written hundreds of definitions spanning a variety of IT topics including networking, cybersecurity, internet of things (IoT), DevOps and artificial intelligence. In his writing and research, he enjoys exploring the intersections of media, technology and culture.
